The Dinkum Hanging Pub Sign

The Dinkum, Polegate, Sussex. This wonderfully named pub gained it's name during the First World War when hospitilised Australian Troops in nearby Willingdon walked 2 miles a day as part of their treatment, with the Polegate Inn being 1 mile away it became a natural stopping off point for them, the locals re-christened it "the Dinkum"
